If you are ordering layers pellets with Flubenvet please be aware as the product is medicated it comes with a very short best before date (but not a strict use by date), so it is advisable not to order until near the date it is required. The maximum use by date would be 6 weeks but in many instances it could be 1 week so would need to be fed from the day it is received. Please contact us before ordering if you need to check the exact best before date of our current batch.
As Flubendazole is a POM-VPS medication and we are licenced by the VMD and have qualified A-SQP's onsite in order to sell Fluvenvet. This product is a medicine that needs to be prescribed by an authorised specialist, so we will need gather some information before we can dispatch it. You will have the opportunity once you have placed your order to fill out a short questionnaire which we can then use to prescribe the Flubenvet. PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR THE QUESTIONAIRE IN YOUR EMAILS.
As a guide an adult medium sized chicken will consume 1kg of feed per week, therefore allow 1kg of medicated feed to worm each average sized hen i.e. If you have 8 hybrid hens you will require 8kg's of these pellets.
Domestic Poultry Wormer: Flubenvet Medicated Premixture is effective against gapeworm, large roundworm, caecal worm, hairworm, and gizzard worm in chickens, turkeys, and geese. Activity includes adult worms, larvae and eggs. Medicated feed should be fed for 7 consecutive days.
Birds on the ground with known worm infestations are susceptible to re-infestation. In such cases, re-treatment with another 7-day course, after 3 weeks is recommended.
Birds must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Treated birds may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 7 days from the last treatment; the meat withdrawal time is 7 days.
Eggs - There is no egg withholding period for domestic poultry producing eggs for human consumption when the product is used at the recommended inclusion rate; the egg withdrawal time is zero days but eggs cannot be sold or given away outside the household whilst the birds are being medicated.
